I have a proven pair of angels, they lay eggs atleast once a week, however with 24 hours they eat them all.

Is this normal? this is their 2nd romp and 2nd total consumption of all eggs.

They go thru all the work why do they eat them?

I dunno man - maybe they just like making babies but don't wanna share tank space with them.   fish swim

I have never had a breeding pair of angelfish, but some of my cichlids did eat all their eggs.  My firemouth meekis ate all of their eggs for the first 3 spawns but after the 4th spawn they left them alone and produced fry all the time.

Are they laying the eggs on something you can remove from the tank?  You could try that if they still keep eating the eggs after 3 or 4 spawns.

Two of the 3 were on the internal filter, the other one was on my amazon sword plant, they eat them not long after they lay them, this last batch was over 200 eggs they laid yesterday, last night they were all eaten, I know the corydoras cannot get to them, even coming remotely close send dad into a panic and he gives chase while momma defends the brood.

I figure they are smart fish and know what they are doing, after all who really wants all those needy kids swimming around.
