the bigger the better, they are much easier to maintain in larger sizes. with loaches you are gonna need a tank as big as you can fit in the house.

loaches are pretty docile and can pretty much go with anything community or semi aggressive.

if you have space for a 55, get the 55.

Welcome to the forums, its slow around here, used to be busy but certain members tarnished that and Ive been trying to build it back up but its hard right now.

Welcome back to the hobby, I just got my father a 45 tall for discus that is almost done, its running just no plants or fish yet. sumped and all.

yes, goldfish arent meant for small tanks. they need alot of water.

I am a beginner with a 10 gallon goldfish tank. I have decided to get a bigger tropical fish tank and want to get one in the 30-55 gallon range. Any ideas for good beginner fish and tank size. I would really like a loach of some sort, so if you could help me with compatible and easy fish, that would be great. Thanks!  thanks

Reading through a lot of your articles.  Some good info there.

Just saying hi.  Recently got back into fishkeeping.  Kept a 20g tank as a kid.  Now starting to get into keeping multiple tanks and hopefully a fish room some day.  So far a 50 g community tank and a 20 g convict tank

speaking of danio's I am trying to get two from my wifes coworker who has them in a real small cereal bowl on their counter. I shoulda just stole em but thats not nice.
